Talgo reports Net profit of 21 €m in 9M 2021 driven by improved operational and financial performance

Talgo S.A., a leading company in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of high-speed light trains, registered a record revenue of 427 €m in the first nine months of 2021, up by 25.8% compared to the 339.4 €m registered in the same period of the previous year. Likewise, Net profit in 2021 has grown to 21 €m compared to a negative result of 8 €m in the third quarter of 2020. Net profit increase is the result of an improved operational and financial performance; while in terms of revenues is attributable to the ongoing phase of the manufacturing and overhaul projects, led by RENFE's Spain Very High-Speed project and to an increased maintenance activity.

Talgo registers historical highs of 293 million euros of revenues until June driven by increased industrial activity

Talgo S.A., ein führendes Unternehmen in der Entwicklung, Herstellung und Instandhaltung von Hochgeschwindigkeitzügen in Leichtbauweise, verzeichnete im ersten Halbjahr 2021 einen Rekordumsatz von 293,3 Millionen Euro, ein Plus von 35% gegenüber 216,6 Millionen Euro im Vorjahreszeitraum. Dieser Umsatzanstieg war auf eine höhere Fertigungstätigkeit zurückzuführen, die durch das Projekt Alta Velocidad de España [Hochgeschwindigkeit in Spanien] (Renfe) angeführt wurde. Auf Quartalsbasis verzeichnete Talgo einen Umsatz von 146,2 Millionen Euro, was dem Wert von 147,1 Millionen Euro im Vorquartal entspricht.

Talgo sichert sich 281,5-Millionen-Euro-Vertrag mit Renfe

Renfe hat Talgo mit der Herstellung von bis zu 40 neuen Triebköpfen (Lokomotiven) mit variabler Spurweite und 330 km/h für kommerzielle Geschwindigkeiten im Wert von maximal 281,5 Millionen Euro beauftragt, und zwar mit einem Auftrag über 26 Triebköpfe für 195,5 Millionen Euro, als letzter Schritt bei der Umwandlung von 13 konventionellen Zügen in Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge. Damit setzt der Betreiber einen ersten, im Februar 2018 erteilten Auftrag zur Aufrüstung von Zügen mit traditioneller und geschleppter Technik (damals noch ohne Lokomotive) zu Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen mit höchster Ausstattung fort.

Talgo steigerte den Umsatz auf 147,1 Mio. Euro aufgrund verstärkter industrieller Aktivitäten

Talgo S.A., ein führendes Unternehmen in der Entwicklung, Herstellung und Wartung von Hochgeschwindigkeits-Leichtzügen, verzeichnete im ersten Quartal 2021 einen Umsatz von 147,1 Millionen Euro. Der Umsatzanstieg ist auf eine höhere Aktivität bei Fertigungsprojekten zurückzuführen, vor allem bei dem spanischen Hochgeschwindigkeitsprojekt (Renfe Avril), das den erwarteten Umsatzwachstumszyklus konsolidiert. Derweil erreichte der Nettogewinn im ersten Quartal 2021 6,4 Millionen Euro.

Talgo steigerte den Umsatz um 21,3 % und erreichte 487 Millionen Euro im Jahr 2020

Talgo S.A., ein führendes Unternehmen in der Entwicklung, Herstellung und Wartung von Hochgeschwindigkeits-Leichtzügen, verzeichnete im Jahr 2020 einen Nettoumsatz von 487,1 Mio. Euro, 21,3 % mehr als die 401,7 Mio. Euro des Vorjahreszeitraums. Ebenso stiegen die Umsätze im vierten Quartal 2020 um 20,3 % im Vergleich zum Vorquartal. Das Umsatzwachstum wurde durch einen Anstieg der industriellen Aktivität angetrieben, als Ergebnis der erfolgreich durchgeführten operativen Maßnahmen zur Normalisierung des Fertigungstempos.

RZD startet Nachtverbindung zwischen Moskau und dem Ruskeala Mountain Park mit Talgo-Intercity-Zügen

Die Russische Föderale Eisenbahngesellschaft RZD hat letzte Woche einen neuen Nachtzug-Service mit Talgo-Intercity-Zügen. Die Strecke verbindet Moskau mit der Republik Karelien und ermöglicht einen direkten Zugang und ohne Zwischenstopps nach Ruskeala, im Nordwesten Russlands.

Talgo registers €218 m of revenues in First Half 2022

Talgo S.A., a leading company in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of high-speed light trains, registered a revenue of €218 m in the first half of 2022, compared to the €293 m in the first half of 2021. The decrease in revenues is mainly driven by lower industrial activity in manufacturing projects, resulting from the current disruptions in the supply chain. Manufacturing average revenues account for more than half the total revenues, being the main revenue contributors the projects undertaken for the European operator Deutsche Bahn (Germany), DSB (Denmark) and ENR (Egypt). Furthermore, maintenance activity has resumed normal services since Covid-19 thus providing recurrent revenues and stability.

Talgo initiates dynamic testing of Spain's first dual hydrogen train

Today, Talgo initiated the dynamic tests of its dual Vittal-One renewable hydrogen train at its factory in Las Matas, Madrid, which is a key milestone in applying hydrogen to the railway. These tests carried out in a laboratory train named TPH2, seek to ensure the correct functionality of the main composition systems developed in previous stages and to check the train's traction with batteries and hydrogen, that is, to validate hydrogen technology in motion, applied to the railway sector.
