Corporate Sustainability Area
Talgo declares and believes that corporate sustainability is a business management model that, in response to the global and shared objective of sustainable development, combines business profitability, the generation of benefits for stakeholders and the contribution to improving the capacity and resilience of the economic, social and environmental ecosystems in which it operates, nationally and internationally.
Sustainability management is carried out through an advanced system that is systematically evaluated and improved and derives its principles and commitments from the Sustainability and Sustainable Development Policy.
Its commitment is to adapt the business model and its operations to the requirements of an economy in which it is imperative to work in compliance with human rights, labor standards and models, ethics, and finally the defense and preservation of the environment, including the value chain and social action.
Commitments
The company is committed to integrating corporate sustainability into its business strategies and operations across all businesses, divisions and subsidiaries to ensure sustainable, ethical and responsible (SER) behavior. Commitment to include all processes, relationships and decisions within a due diligence framework.
Its strategic commitments are mainly focused on:
- Consolidation and strengthening of sustainable mobility, eco-design and eco-efficiency of its products
- Improve and facilitate value chain energy transitions
- Promote and evaluate respect for human rights
- Improve resilience and strive to minimize supply chain vulnerability
- In particular, to fight climate change and work on diversity, circularity, health and safety, and ethics
- Ensure management transparency to all stakeholders
- Be an agent of change towards more sustainable and secure markets.
2022-2025 Strategic Plan
Talgo implements its sustainable, ethical and responsible management through strategic multi-year plans (the current 2022-2025 plan includes 33 projects) and annual programs.
Due Diligence
Talgo designs and implements a Due Diligence Management System that, in accordance with the European Due Diligence Directive (CS3D), ensures the existence of processes, mechanisms and protocols to ensure proper management, potential non-compliance and best results.

Stakeholders
Talgo prioritizes dialog and stakeholder involvement in its business.
To this end, it identifies and prioritizes its ten stakeholder categories, establishes relationship frameworks with each of them and implements participation mechanisms (satisfaction, requirements and expectations, validation and prioritization of relevant issues) and facilitates dialogue through relationship channels.

Sustainability and Sustainable Development Initiatives
Talgo is a member of the Global Compact. We value and work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Talgo participates in sustainability programs and projects with organizations and associations in the sector or in corporate management matters (Railsponsible, Mafex, AERCE, CEO’s for diversity and others).
Talgo and energy efficiency
One of our main areas of action is energy efficiency. We strive to reduce our energy consumption and minimise our carbon footprint.
