Responsible Supply Chain and Sustainable Purchasing
Talgo considers the following to be essential aspects of its business activities:
- that its products and services (rolling stock and auxiliary equipment) are responsible, ethical, safe, innovative, eco-efficient and sustainable; and
- that its value chain (especially supply chains) is responsible, working to achieve its visibility and resilience in the medium and long term, minimizing existing vulnerabilities.

- manufacture of auxiliary equipment and other
Talgo is committed to transparent, sustainable, ethical and responsible business relationships with its stakeholders: customers, partners and users, and establishes relationship and commitment frameworks.
Talgo is a firm believer in the need for effective and fair competition in the sector. To this end, it complies with antitrust laws through the principles and commitments set forth in the Fair Competition Policy.

Sustainable purchasing, suppliers and responsible supply chain activities
A strategic factor in corporate sustainability is professional purchasing and procurement management. To this end, Talgo is committed to achieving management assurance through a system certified to the ISO 20400 standard: Sustainable Procurement.
The key elements of the system are the sustainable purchasing policy, suppliers and responsible supply chain, management tools and mechanisms, sustainability projects and its annual due diligence transparency.
Suppliers and responsible supply chain
Currently, the analysis and approval of suppliers (from a technical, ethical, economic, social, environmental and human rights point of view), together with the monitoring, measurement of progress and the analysis, audit and requalification processes, constitute the main means of implementing Talgo’s sustainability strategy in the context of supplier relations.
In addition, Talgo encourages the development of suppliers working towards sustainability through training, education and progress monitoring, and seeks to bring new suppliers closer to our production and maintenance centers.
Finally, Talgo is working to improve the sustainability and responsibility of its supply chains, focusing on their visibility and resilience (TIER 2 and above), and promoting business relationships with its suppliers throughout the supply chain that ensure respect for human rights, decent working conditions, ethics, the environment and occupational health and safety.
