Ricardo Chocarro appointed Talgo CEO

Rivabellosa, July 14, 2026. The Board of Directors of Talgo has appointed Ricardo Chocarro Melgosa as CEO of the company. The new Chief Executive Officer has been connected to the company since February 2026.
Ricardo Chocarro joined the Talgo board after the revamping of the ownership structure and as part of the arrival of the new shareholders from the Basque consortium, led by Jose Antonio Jainaga.
Chocarro is an industrial engineer with a near 30-years professional experience in high-tech sectors, especially in Aeronautics and Renewable Energies. After a long career in various companies, in 2017 he was appointed CEO of the onshore business of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. In 2019, Chocarro joined Aernnova Aerospace as Chief Operating Officer (CCO), being responsible for Finance and Control Planning, M&A and diversification activities; be became its CEO in 2020 and up until December 2025.
For Jose Antonio Jainaga, president of Talgo, “Ricardo Chocarro’s industrial and technological expertise, along with his career experience, will be a new boost for Talgo at a time of great developments in the railway sector, in which the company must be a strategic player”.
